A Journey of Indulgence and Nutrition: Worldgate at the First International Ice Cream and Gelato Expo 2025 (ICEGEX)

Last October 24–26, 2025, Worldgate proudly joined the very first international Ice Cream and Gelato Expo (ICEGEX) at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. As part of the growing Food and Beverage sector, this landmark event was created to spotlight innovation, creativity, and opportunities in the ice cream and gelato industry.

For Worldgate, ICEGEX was more than just an expo—it was a chance to introduce ourselves as a trusted supplier of innovative ingredients for ice cream and a true partner in indulgence and nutrition.

Indulgence Meets Wellness

Guided by the theme:

“Functional Ingredients for Ice Cream and Gelato: Where Indulgence Meets Wellness,”

Worldgate aimed to show that ice cream can be both a delightful treat and a smarter choice. Everyone loves ice cream. Many of us have a sweet tooth. But Worldgate believes that the ice cream we all adore can be healthier, more functional, and more nutritious, without sacrificing the taste and joy that people expect.

Through our ingredients, we promote functional and nutritional solutions for ice cream and gelato—helping brands respond to the growing consumer demand for products that are not just indulgent, but also better for overall well-being.

Day 1: Setting the Vision

On the first day of ICEGEX, Worldgate—led by Ms. Faith Galendez—set the tone for our participation by discussing “Indulgence Meets Nutrition: Next-Gen Stabilizing Systems for Ice Cream Innovation.”

Worldgate’s presence at ICEGEX underscored our vision that ice cream can be more than just a dessert. It can be:

  • A stable product, thanks to advanced stabilizing systems
  • A modern indulgence, combining adventurous local and global flavors

On the second day, the response to Worldgate’s ice cream creations was overwhelmingly positive.

Our ice creams stood out at the expo as unique and intriguing—not just in flavor, but in concept. Visitors from all walks of life stopped by our booth:

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Chefs and food professionals

Their reactions gave Worldgate an important insight:

This affirmed our mission: the market is ready for ice cream that is both indulgent and better-for-you.

Day 3: A Sweet and Meaningful Victory

The highlight of the event came on the third and final day. Worldgate’s efforts, creativity, and passion were recognized during the ICEGEX Awards.

Worldgate achieved:

  • 🏆 Best Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 🥉 2nd Runner-Up in the Functional Ice Cream Category for our Bignay Mixed Berries ice cream

These awards made all the planning, preparations, costs, late nights, and challenges worth it. For Worldgate, this recognition stands as one of our greatest achievements of the year—a clear sign that we are on the right path.
